MY APPROACH
Relationship Counselling at Inspire Direction Perth Western Australia, can help you improve your relationships no matter what difficulties you may be experiencing.

Here at Inspire Direction, as a Relationship Counsellor I work respectfully and non-judgmentally alongside individuals and couples from all walks of life, gender, beliefs, and spirituality each with their own unique relationship situations to resolve.

The hectic pace of life today often distracts us from what is truly meaningful, we may become emotionally and spiritually disconnected from ourselves and from others.
As a Relationship Counsellor I invite you to reflect on your own story and personal journey. Inspire Direction may empower you to make a deeper discovery of your inner resources, and how to live an authentic life.
A romantic relationship is one of the closest we have as humans.
Choosing a partner and staying together no matter what life throws at you, can be very challenging. When being faced with life’s difficulties and transitions for example becoming parents, juggling a young and or teenage family, may often cause emotional distress within the couple’s relationship and marriage. It is important to consider this is normal and that very few relationships exist conflict free.
Relationships can be very complex, and problematic, every relationship is different perhaps your having work related issues with an employer or problems with colleagues. Life can often be stressful, causing arguments and miscommunications with those around us, you may find yourself feeling angry, rejected, disappointed, abandoned, unloved, and sometimes lonely.
When you book a counselling session
With Nicola as your relationship counsellor, psychotherapist, she will create a safe and objective space in which to discuss your relationship concerns helping you move towards developing more meaningful and less stressful connections with people.
Relationship Counselling
Is for both individuals and couples.
Individual sessions are where you would discuss issues one to one solely with Nicola
Couples Counselling
Is for two people within a relationship who may not be getting along with each other for a variety of reasons - relationship problems are common and can be improved with counselling and psychotherapy. .
Couples counselling may be quite daunting for partners who may be reluctant to see the couples counsellor. You may choose to see Nicola on your own and often your partner may want to join the sessions later, or you can intersperse couple sessions with individual sessions. If you are suffering because of relationship problems, counselling or psychotherapy can help you discover healthier patterns of relating to others. Relationship Counselling will help you identify patterns of behaviour as you talk through experiences, which can lead to greater understanding and clarity about the changes that are needed in your relationships.
As your relationship counsellor I will
-
Explore historical patterns in your relationships
-
Improve communication
-
Move on from negative behaviours
-
Build healthier patterns of relating for the future
I believe that it is important for your therapist to be a model for good communication which will help you gain self-insight into a healthy relationship.
This will support you as you work towards making better informed choices and more positive bonds with others.
I use an Integrative counselling approach to study human behaviours, thoughts and feelings having a focus on inner strengths, inviting the client to see the good in themselves and each other. I love to work with the whole person and pull out the greatness inside every individual who seeks help. My integrative approach is to hold and contain clients in a safe healing space, as together we explore creatively living, grief-loss and renewal to healing the whole person, mind, emotions, body and spirit.
As a Counsellor, Psychotherapist and NLP Life Coach my focus is on getting great results to help people flourish and live their best lives. I believe that when we can create these positive experiences in the counselling relationship environment, this helps bring about unique transformational change and healing of emotional wounds. These states being inner resilience, compassion, gratitude, acceptance, forgiveness and hope for their future.
I firmly believe that if the environment for the unique counselling relationship creates a respectful alliance. Then the inner environment has the right nurturing and nourishment for the whole person to flourish and “live the life they want to live”.
